Despite appearing to have a majestic white Gandalf beard, Bernie is a young and spunky dude. He loves to play, and can be pretty mouthy- he would absolutely love some playful dog siblings in his new home, and perhaps would be too much for some small kids. Bernie is still working on housetraining but does OK with a doggie door- it seems to be more of a communication problem than anything. Bernie likes to be around people and wherever the action is. He likes to hear himself talk, but we suspect he will get over that once he settles in properly to a new place and knows the right way to get what he wants.
