Since coming into Anchorage, Skye has transformed from a scared skinny girl who wanted nothing to do with people to the beautiful, happy and loving German Shepherd that she is today. Skye wants nothing more than to be a part of things. She is still learning how to control her newfound excitement for life but tries SO hard. Skye has also been working hard on learning how to socialize with other dogs and people. She is a beautiful girl that would be the perfect loyal pet for someone who is looking for a companion to join them on hikes, runs, and any other adventures you could think of.
    Skye has done great with everything that I have introduced her to from learning obedience to learning how to be a normal dog. Skye has gotten multiple indepth baths, brush outs, nail trims, and even been blow dried with a high velocity pet blow dryer with minimal to no issues. Skye has been introduced to multiple different dogs and done extremely well whether it was playing together or just sharing the same space. She can be too much for some dogs that may be lower energy, more anxious, or less socialized dogs as she is very animated and still figuring out how to control her big body when she is really excited and playing. Skye is great in the kennel and will happily go in on command(“Kennel”). She also knows sit, down, and of course her name which she excitedly sprints back to. She has been working hard on her impulse control, especially with not rushing doors and not jumping on people, as well as learning how to use all of that excitement to fuel her training and work with you on whatever it is that you'd like.
