About Lemur

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Gray
  • Current Age: 1 Year 8 Months (best estimate)

Meet Lemur, an 11-12 month old possible Malinois/shepherd terrier mix, a charming 40-pound bundle of joy.  Lemur is not only sweet and affectionate but also intelligent and eager to please, making her a delightful companion.  She has successfully interacted with both dogs and cats, enjoying playful chases, and wrestling matches.

Despite her love for play, Lemur has a calm demeanor indoors and particularly adores her dog bed.  She values some space from other dogs during meals, and although she can be a bit mouthy, she is learning and takes corrections well.  Lemur knows basic commands like sit and is quickly picking up on down, heel, spin and is mostly potty trained, showcasing her intelligence and eagerness to learn.

One of Lemur’s standout traits is her quick attachment to those around her.  This loving pup thrives on companionship, so she would likely do best in a home with either a dog companion or an involved owner.  If you’re considering adopting Lemur, be prepared to provide the love and engagement she craves.  She does fine with a 9-5 workday if she gets attention when you are home.  Her energy needs are currently low-moderate, although that may change as she becomes healthier.

This lovable canine companion is likely good with kids, but caution is advised with toddlers due to her enthusiasm around food.  If you’re seeking a loyal, loving companion who adores both playtime and downtime, Lemur might be the perfect fit for your family.

Please note: All dogs are expected to attend our next adoption event, however sometimes life gets in the way. We encourage you to attend our next event to inquire about meeting or adopting any dog listed on our site or email us to request a meeting outside of an event.
